The Fox and Goose Inn is located in the village of Parracombe just off the A39, only 5 miles from Lynton & 15 miles from Barnstaple
Take the A386 Kingsley Road out of Bideford. At the roundabout take the third exit onto the A39 for Barnstaple. Cross the bridge over the River Torridge and keep on the A39 to Barnstaple. As you approach Barnstaple, take the A361 signposted for Barnstaple and Ilfracombe. Follow signs for the Town Centre (A3125), cross the Long Bridge over the River Taw, then turn left at the roundabout onto the A39 (Alexandra Road) out of Barnstaple. Then follow directions from Barnstaple.
Take the A39 (Alexandra Road, then North Road then Shirwell Road) out of Barnstaple. After approximately 9 miles bear right at Kentisbury Ford (near Patchole) continuing on the A39. At the junction with the A399 turn right then immediately left (staggerred cross-roads) again continuing on the A39. Take the left turn signposted for Parracombe and follow Ley's Lane into the village of Parracombe. As you descend the hill down Ley's Lane the familiar green and white painted Fox and Goose Inn Parracombe will be directly in front of you.
Follow the B3234 out of Lynton or Lynmouth. Turn right onto the A39 signposted for Blackmoor Gate and Barnstaple. Keep on the A39, passing brown signs for the Woody Bay station of the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway Company. Look for the sign for the Fox and Goose Inn Parracombe and take the right turn on the sharp left handed bend down Parracombe Lane into the village. Passing St. Petrock's church then the Parracombe Stores, both on your left, bear slightly right following Ley''s Lane until the familiar green and white painted Fox and Goose Inn Parracombe will be on your right.
