Good Seasonal Food Simply Done All freshly prepared here at the Fox and Goose.

Offering a constantly changing menu of fish, meat vegetarian and vegan dishes.

Seasonal Dishes

We serve food Tuesday to Sunday, lunchtime and evening, all prepared from ingredients sourced as locally as possible, which means the menu varies with the seasons.

We prepare all the items on the menu on site, so as a guest you can confidently ask 'what's in it?'

Dishes range from traditional pub food such as Steak and Kidney Pie with shortcrust pastry lid, jug of gravy, sauté potatoes and vegetables, to specialities such as fish stew, Bouillabaisse style stock with mixed fish & shellfish as available, served with garlic bread. There are usually 2 or 3 other fish dishes, steak, duck and game, plus an extensive range of vegetarian & vegan dishes.

...and of course there are always delicious desserts too, not to mention our sumptuous Sunday roasts, Autumn through Winter and our sizzling Summer braais.

Please call 01598 763239 to book your table. We look forward to seeing you soon.

A New Moon at the Fox

Craig and Aidan may be new to the Fox, but Nikki is still here as Head Chef and the rest of the staff, with their familiar and comforting faces are too, so plenty of friendly continuity!

So you can enjoy all your Fox Favourites, alongside some more Pub Classics and we are adding a little bit of African flavour to the menu with our daily specials.

...and now on Sunday lunchtimes 12pm to 3pm, we are going to be trialling a Sunday Braai (BBQ) - think of posh veggie, seafood, meat skewers with mouthwatering salads and you'll 'catch our drift'.

Come along and try some of our sumptuous summer plates, think Africa meets Middle East. How about warm flat bread piled with fresh herby salad, dressed in a tangy dressing, topped with skewers hot off the grill? Choose from garlic peri-peri king prawns, lemon and coriander swordfish, minted lamb or spicy tofu & peach. Plus incredible accompanying side salads, summer ciders, beers and cocktails. What's not to like?!
